Head-on crash in Otter Tail County injures 3

All parties were wearing seat belts, roads were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the cause of which was unclear Sunday afternoon.

BATTLE LAKE, Minn. — Three people were injured in a crash around noon Sunday, July 3, between Ottertail and Battle Lake in Otter Tail County.

A GMC Canyon driven by Tony Robert Gerlach, of Hastings, Minnesota, was southbound on State Highway 78 when it collided with a northbound Ford F150 driven by Turner Mark Blaufuss, 29, of Breckenridge, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Gerlach and his passenger, 17-year-old Anna Gerlach, both suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were transported to area hospitals, the state patrol said. Blaufuss' passenger, Hannah Elaine Blaufuss, 31, also suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.

Turner Blaufuss was not injured in the crash, according to the state patrol. All parties were wearing seat belts, roads were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the cause of which was unclear Sunday afternoon.
