Man killed in northeast Minnesota crash

A 59-year-old Cook man was killed in a crash near Angora on Sunday evening.

COOK, Minn. — A 59-year-old Cook man was killed in a single vehicle crash approximately 8 miles south of Cook on U.S. Highway 53 on Sunday evening, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Glen Ellsworth Economy was pronounced dead at the scene. He was traveling north in his Chevrolet Corvette on Highway 53 at Heino Road around 6:30 p.m. When passing another vehicle, the Corvette lost control, left the roadway and rolled. He was reported to have been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
