One dead, another seriously injured after crash in Crow Wing County
A 17-year-old died after a crash on Highway 210.
CROW WING COUNTY, Minn. — A teen driver is dead and another driver sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash Saturday, Aug. 6.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 17-year-old Sebastien Jakob Blondo of Kettle River, Minnesota, was driving east in a 1995 Jeep Wrangler along Highway 210 near the junction of County Road 32 near Aitkin when he struck a 2008 Lincoln MKX traveling east around 9:36 a.m.
Blondo was pronounced dead while the driver of the MKX, Curtis Dean Watson, 75, of Aitkin, was flown to St. Cloud for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and conditions were wet at the time, the state patrol said. Alcohol was not involved.
