Passenger dies in rollover crash on I-94 near Ashby

GRANT COUNTY, Minn. — A vehicle passenger is dead after a rollover crash on Interstate 94 in Grand County near Ashby, Minnesota on Friday, March 17.

The crash occurred just after 1 p.m., when a Ford Transit was traveling eastbound on I-94 near mile marker 72, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Bryan Walter Sorenson, a 56-year-old man from Williston, North Dakota, was driving when the vehicle left the road and rolled. Road conditions were snowy and icy, the report noted.

A 67-year-old female passenger from Minneapolis died, according to the report. Sorenson was uninjured in the crash.
