Woman found dead in house fire outside Thief River Falls

The case is under investigation.

PENNINGTON COUNTY — A woman was found dead in a home in Rocksbury Township near Thief River Falls, Minnesota on Wednesday morning, Dec. 7.

According to a press release from the Pennington County Sheriff's Office, a residential fire was reported in the early morning hours. The fire was extinguished and a woman was found dead inside the residence.

The case is under investigation and no other information will be released until the woman's next of kin have been notified.

There were no other injuries.

Agencies that responded to the fire include the Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Thief River Falls Police Department and the State Fire Marshall's Office.
