12-year-old hit by vehicle in Moorhead, suffers serious injuries

MOORHEAD — A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured when a vehicle struck him in the 1200 block of 30th Avenue South in Moorhead on Thursday, Oct. 20.

About 7:15 p.m., a 2000 Dodge Journey, headed west on 30th Avenue South, struck the boy who was at the intersection of 12th Street South, according to a news release from the city of Moorhead.

The child suffered serious injuries and medics took him to the hospital via ambulance, city officials said.

The driver of the Dodge, 29-year-old Brandee Rae Moran, of Moorhead, was not injured in the collision.

Speed and alcohol were not involved, city officials said. The collision remains under investigation.
