MOORHEAD — Garbage collection of Christmas trees in Moorhead will begin Monday, Jan. 3.
Tree collection will continue until Jan. 14. Residents should put out their tree on their regular garbage collection day, according to a City of Moorhead press release. Other important tips provided by the city include:
- Place trees 3 to 5 feet from your garbage bin;
- Do not place trees on snow banks, and;
- Remove plastic bags, lights and tree stands as the trees will be chipped.
Trees will not be accepted after Jan. 14.
