MOORHEAD — A Moorhead man was sentenced on Friday, Jan. 27, in Clay County District Court to eight years and three months in prison for his conviction on 27 counts of possessing child pornography.
Moorhead police arrested Zachary P. Harding, 31, on May 11, 2021, after his probation officer asked officers to search any phones in his possession. Investigators said they found more than 300 images and videos in Harding’s possession that depicted suspected child porn.
Some of those images and videos showed toddlers, according to court documents.
Harding was given credit for having already served 627 days in custody.
In Minnesota, inmates typically serve two-thirds of their sentence in prison and the remaining one third on supervised release.
