Break-in, assault reported in Moorhead

Police were looking for the attacker, but officers said there was no threat to the public.

MOORHEAD — Police were looking for a man who they say assaulted another man in his apartment in the 1300 block of 19th 1/2 Street South early Wednesday, May 18.

According to police, it happened at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The attacker broke into the man's apartment, assaulted him and took off, police said.

The man had injuries that were not life-threatening, and police said the man and the attacker know each other.

"The suspect had been in the apartment complex earlier causing a disturbance," police said in a statement.


Police were looking for the attacker Wednesday, but officers said there was no threat to the public.
