MOORHEAD — Moorhead police and Clay County sheriff's deputies responded to the Griffin Court Apartments in the 3000 block of 18th Street South after a shooting was reported there about 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13.
Police say a man reported he was shot at, but was not injured.
Officers found the shooter's apartment in the building where the shooting occurred, and they discovered evidence of gunfire in the building, police said.
Officers evacuated neighboring apartments or, in some cases, had residents shelter in place in their apartments. Officers called a number of people out of the building and detained them for questioning, police said.
"We don't have a suspect named, but several individuals are going to be transported to the law enforcement center for further questioning, and our investigators are going to be further trying to get more facts on this situation," said Moorhead Police Capt. Deric Swenson.

Swenson said at this time there are no charges. Investigators are still working to find the gun involved, police said.
