OTTER TAIL COUNTY - Authorities in Otter Tail County are investigating a string of break-ins and thefts from ice houses on several area lakes.
On Sunday, January 6th, the Otter Tail County sheriff's office received more than 15 reports of ice houses on Jolly Ann, Sewell, and Ten Mile Lake being broken into and vandalized. Multiple items were stolen from each house, including underwater cameras, ice chisels, and spears. In addition to being burglarized, many of the houses suffered extensive damage.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received similar reports over the weekend. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.
