GRAND FORKS — Senator Kevin Cramer made his first public appearance Tuesday, June 28, since seriously injuring his hand. The state's junior senator attended an announcement at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Last Wednesday a large rock rolled onto his hand as he tried to move it in the river behind his home while swimming with grandchildren.

It cut off part of his pinky finger and crushed his ring finger. His ring finger will be OK. Cramer will see his surgeon Wednesday to decide the fate of his pinky.

"(It's a)Good long-term prognosis. The worst case scenario is I lose part of my pinky, I feel fortunate," said Cramer. Full story here.
