FARGO — A Moorhead man fired an empty gun at another man before loading it and shooting the other man in the chest in downtown Fargo, according to court documents.

Schuyler Tyrie Ferguson, 24, appeared Monday, Oct. 3, in Cass County District Court on felony charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and terrorizing in connection to a Friday shooting in an apartment at 606 ½ Main Ave. Court documents alleged Freguson critically injured Mohamed Abdullahi, who was sent to a hospital with a chest wound. LEONARD, N.D. — He passed out at the wheel. That was the final conclusion by the Cass County Sheriff's Office as to why an Enderlin school bus went off the road and plunged into the Maple River on Friday, Sept. 23.


The school bus with seven children on board went off the road and plunged 12 feet over an embankment and landed in the river. Full story here.

FARGO — Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner has been criticized internally over how he disciplined a lieutenant who used an office-issued cellphone to send nude photos of himself to his wife and, accidentally, to a sheriff's deputy.

Jahner explained in a six-page memo what prompted him to issue a written reprimand to Lt. Tommy Ray. Full story here.
