CARRINGTON, N.D. — A Carrington, North Dakota, woman was arrested and charged with murder on Monday, Jan. 30, related to the September death of a 5-month-old infant at her in-home day care.

Patricia Ann Wick was charged with murder, a Class AA felony; abuse of a child, a Class B felony; and operating a family child care home without a license, a Class B misdemeanor. Wick is being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center on a $50,000 bond. Full story here.

Fargo man arrested following assault with blunt object

FARGO — An alleged early morning assault last week in Fargo has led to the arrest of 65-year-old Gary David Copass. He's being held at the Cass County Jail on a felony C charge of aggravated assault in Cass County District Court.

Fargo police were called to a south Fargo apartment building on Friday, Jan. 27, where a victim told authorities that he’d been struck by a blunt object while clearing snow from the alley behind the apartment complex. Full story here.

Head-on crash leads to string of criminal charges for Moorhead man

FARGO — A Moorhead man is in the Cass County Jail after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash early Monday morning, Jan. 30.

Alan Steven Walker, 28, was driving his Chevrolet Suburban southbound on Cass County Road 81 when he struck a northbound Jeep Cherokee head-on. The crash happened approximately 3.5 miles north of Hickson/Oxbow around 1 a.m. Monday. Full story here.
