BUXTON, N.D. — One driver was injured after rear-ending another motorist along Interstate 29 Saturday, July 31, 6 1/2 miles south of Buxton.
Ricky Callaway, Jr. was driving a 2007 Saturn Outlook south on the interstate when he attempted to pass other traffic. Callaway then struck the rear of Winnipeg resident Sukhbahar Panesar's 2016 Volvo, which was towing a trailer.
Callaway then entered the west ditch. He was transported via ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with non-life-threatening injuries. Sukhbahar was not injuried. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol , Traill County Sheriff's Office , Hillsboro Ambulance and Buxton Fire responded to the crash.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.

Buxton is roughly 26 miles south of Grand Forks.
