MOORHEAD — Minnesota State University Moorhead’s 23 rd annual Andrew B. Conteh Student Academic Conference will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, on the SAC conference website , https://www.mnstate.edu/sac/ .
This year’s virtual conference is a showcase for scientific research and creative activity conducted by students and mentored by faculty.
More than 270 graduate and undergraduate students representing 17 academic and service departments have been mentored by 47 faculty advisors — whether in the laboratory, the field, the studio, the computer lab or the classroom. These applied learning opportunities are truly transformative in students’ personal and professional growth.
Two alumni will be featured keynote presenters at this year’s conference with Sarah Borgerding and Tomi Sawyer speaking. Borgerding is a growth advisor for Health Partners, a nonprofit health care provider and health insurance company. Sawyer is the Chief Drug Hunter and President of Maestro Therapeutics, a consulting/advisory enterprise that engages academia, biotech and pharma to support peptide drug discovery.
