ND advocacy organizations launch COVID-19 website

FARGO — A coalition of North Dakota advocacy groups launched , a website with resources and policy visions created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The website provides resources for North Dakotans regarding emergency assistance for working families, worker safety, housing and utilities, food security, healthcare access and state government resources.

The website also has policy demands, including guaranteed wages for workers most impacted by the pandemic, paid family leave, a moratorium on evictions and utility shutoffs and hazard pay for frontline workers. Furthermore, the response addresses policy changes that could stem from the crisis.

Website partners include: AFL-CIO, Indivisible, N.D. Native Vote, N.D. United, Farmers Union, ACLU, Creating a Hunger Free N.D., N.D. Human Rights Coalition, N.D. Women's Network, N.D. Community Action Partnership, Dakota Resource Council, LSSND, N.D. Nurses Association, High Plains Fair Housing, F-M Coalition to End Homelessness, Cass Clay Food Commission, Prairie Action N.D. and North Dakota Voices Network .
