CAVALIER, N.D.-The 55-year-old man who was killed Friday, April 13, when his all-terrain vehicle left a rural road in Pembina County and was thrown has been identified.

The crash victim has been identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol as Dean Becker of Cavalier. He was driving his four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle on 134th Avenue Northeast, about 7½ miles northwest of Cavalier, when he left the road, entered a ditch and encountered rough ground, ejecting him from the vehicle, according to Sgt. Ryan Panasuk of the highway patrol.

Becker, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
