FARGO — A new North Dakota Parks and Recreation volunteer program is offering an opportunity to create partnerships between community members and park staff as they work together for the betterment of the parks and community well-being.
A Tuesday, Sept. 8, press release said a meaningful volunteer experience can be tailored to one's special skill set, whether it's helping with vehicle or trail maintenance, or volunteering in the visitor center.
Additionally, the department's Campground Host volunteer program remains in place. It offers volunteers free, full-service camping for the duration of their summer stay in exchange for performing host duties ranging from welcoming and assisting campers with setup to selling firewood or helping with special events.
