North Dakota, Minnesota governors order flags at half-staff to honor coronavirus victims

Flags to fly at half-staff until sunset on Friday

Govs. Doug Burgum and Tim Walz have ordered flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the victims of COVID-19.

The United States, North Dakota and Minnesota flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on Friday, Feb. 26, at all federal and state buildings. Individuals, businesses and other organizations are encouraged to join the observance.

More than 500,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus, including more than 1,400 North Dakotans and over 6,400 Minnesotans.
