BISMARCK — Two new COVID-19-related deaths were reported in North Dakota Saturday, Feb. 20, according to the North Dakota Department of Health .
Specific information regarding the deceased could not be determined, though the two deaths moved the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state to 1,437.
Since the beginning of February, the state has reported 11 deaths attributed to the virus. The month is on track to be the state's least-deadly since the pandemic reached North Dakota in March 2020.
The Department of Health also reported 85 new COVID-19 cases in the state Saturday.
Fargo's Cass County and Grand Forks County were the only two counties to report double-digit new cases, with 24 and 10 new cases, respectively.

Bismarck's Burleigh County totaled nine new cases, while Williston's Williams County tallied seven new cases. Both Mandan's Morton County and Minot's Ward County added five new cases.
Bottineau, Bowman, Divide, Hettinger, McHenry, McKenzie, McLean, Mercer, Mountrail, Pembina, Ramsey, Ransom, Richland, Rolette, Stutsman, Walsh and Wells counties each added three or more new cases.
The 85 new cases emerged from 5,268 tests for a daily positivity rate of 2%.
Statewide active cases numbered 789 Saturday, down by 26 from seven days prior .
Cass County's active cases increased for the second consecutive week, rising 15% from last Saturday's figure to 177.
Active cases in Burleigh County dropped 30% over the week to 123, making it the only other county in North Dakota with triple-digit active cases.

Grand Forks County reported 81 active cases Saturday, while Ward County had 72. Active cases numbered 43 in Williams County and 42 in Dickinson's Stark County.
With 56 active cases for every 10,000 residents, rural Hettinger County in the state's southwest corner had the most active cases on a per-capita basis.
Nationwide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 27.8 million cases of the virus and 494,008 virus-related deaths. The CDC also reported 61.3 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered.
