AARP seeks North Dakotan nominees for 2022 volunteer award

Nominees must be at least 50 years old, their volunteer work must reflect AARP's vision and purpose, and their work or achievements must inspire others to volunteer.

FARGO — AARP is accepting nominations for its 2022 North Dakota Andrus Award for Community Service.

The award is meant to honor North Dakotans who volunteer their talents in their community and help others achieve their dreams.

Nominees must be at least 50 years old, their volunteer work must reflect AARP's vision and purpose, and their work or achievements must inspire others to volunteer.

AARP staff, previous Andrus Award recipients, volunteers on the Andrus Award selection committee, and political volunteers are not eligible for the award.

Couples who volunteer together are eligible, but teams of three or more are not.

The application deadline is Friday, July 15. The award winner will be announced in early fall 2022.

To nominate someone, visit the AARP Andrus Award for Community Service site ( states.aarp.org/north-dakota) a nd select North Dakota and fill out the survey.
