One injured in crash between car and school bus in Otter Tail County

There was no mention of passengers being on the bus when the crash occurred.

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — One person was injured when a car and a school bus collided in Otter Tail County, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash happened on County Road 82 southeast of Fergus Falls on Tuesday, June 28 around 6:25 p.m.

The Patrol said a 2011 Kia Optima was northbound on Co. 82 approaching Big Chief Road as a 2022 Freightliner C2 Liner school bus was turning southbound onto Co. 82 and the vehicles collided.

The driver of the car, Nicholas Anthony Olson, 43, of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Fergus Falls, the Patrol said.

The driver of the school bus, Natalie Pulliam Jones, 63, of Woodleaf, North Carolina, was not injured.


Jones was issued a citation for failing to yield, the Patrol said.

There was no mention of children or other passengers on the school bus, and no information was available as to whether either driver would face charges in connection with the crash.
