One injured in fire at south Fargo home

FARGO — One person was taken to the hospital after a fire at a south Fargo home Monday, May 11.

The fire was reported at 11:49 a.m. at 1202 First Ave. S., where heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the south side of a multi-unit home, according to Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson.

It took 10 minutes for crews to knock down the flames, which were contained to one unit in the home, Erickson said.

One person was transported via ambulance to the hospital. Their condition was not immediately available Monday afternoon.

Erickson said crews would remain on scene for several hours to clean up and handle any hot spots.
