MOORHEAD — Opening-day enrollment for the district was 7,066, the highest since 1972. That number is 79 students higher than last year's opening-day enrollment.

The district has added more than 1,000 students in the last 5 years and opened two new schools.

The community is set to vote on a $110 million bond referendum Nov. 5 that, if passed, would involve rebuilding Moorhead High School and renovating the former Sam's Club building as a career academy.
