VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Police are investigating a death after they found a body near the railroad tracks in Valley City on Thursday, Jan. 17.
Officers were dispatched to northeast Valley City along the Canadian Pacific Railway at 1:30 p.m., responding to a report of an "unknown medical issue," the city's police department announced in a news release. When officers arrived, they found a dead body.
The person has been identified as Chase Jenison, a Valley City High School Student, by the school district's superintendent.
Police are conducting an unattended death investigation. The Barnes County Medical Examiner has not yet responded to calls about the case.
No further information has yet been released.
