Police looking for a suspect after bullets enter a Breckenridge home

BRECKENRIDGE Minn. — Police are looking for a suspect who fired multiple rounds which went into a Beckenridege woman's home early Tuesday morning before they pursued the unidentified person by car.

A Siemers Court homeowner said she woke up to the sound of gunshots shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Two of the seven bullets entered her home, but she wasn't injured.

After responding to the shots, police attempted to pull over a light-colored SUV nearby.

When the vehicle failed to stop, Breckenridge officers pursued the SUV into Wahpeton.

Police lost sight of the vehicle but later found it abandoned with a gun inside.

Officers don't think the homeowner was targeted, but the incident is still under investigation by the Breckenridge and Wahpeton police departments.
