Clay County's annual pumpkin composting program, Take Jack Back!, began Monday, Nov. 2, and will run through Sunday, Nov. 15.
Painted pumpkins, candles, and decorations are prohibited; they are not compostable. Do not throw trash or other recycling items in the designated pumpkin bins.
Pumpkin drop-off locations in Moorhead are listed below:
- 23rd Street South (Southside Regional Park)
- 700 15th Ave. N. (Public Works)
- 418 Elm Street (Moorhead City Shop)
In addition, the city of West Fargo allows pumpkins to be dropped off at these yard waste drop-off locations:
- Department of Sanitation, 117 8th St. W.
- Eagle Run Water Tower, 40th Avenue South and Sheyenne Street
- 17th Street East between Second Avenue East and Starr Avenue
The city of Fargo also allows pumpkins to be disposed of at regular yard waste drop-off sites.
