Racist message left on MSUM dorm whiteboard prompts investigation
MOORHEAD - An investigation has been launched into a racist and political message left outside a dorm room at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The note read "Trump Hates N******" on a whiteboard. It has since been erased.
The president of the Black Student Union said it was left outside a black student's dorm room.
University officials said they are aware of the note and are concerned about its rhetoric. They have spoken with the student at whose room the message was left. He or she said they don't feel threatened.
The university is now working with student government to promote respect on campus. Officials also plan to send out an email concerning the note in the next few days.
