MOORHEAD — Drivers on Interstate 94 east of Moorhead will encounter temporary lane closures in both directions starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, while law enforcement and others remove a semi from the median.
Bryan Christensen, MnDOT Public Engagement coordinator, said the closures will affect both eastbound and westbound passing lanes of I-94 in the area.
Watch for flaggers directing traffic around the crash site, he said. All lanes will reopen once the crash has been cleared.
Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said the semi rolled over around 1 a.m. Friday on an icy I-94 near Hwy 336 at mile marker 6.
Grabow said no one was hurt in the crash, but the semi is hung up on the median cable barrier.

Christensen said two heavy rotator trucks, similar to mobile cranes, will lift the semi to try to set it back on the roadway.
Hopefully it goes off without a hitch, Christensen said. Under a worst case scenario, if the operation is not successful, he said the semi trailer load would have to be unloaded manually.
Neither Christensen nor Grabow were aware of the contents of the trailer.
