BISMARCK — Lisbon has the best-tasting tap water in North Dakota this year, beating out eight competitors in Bismarck on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Mayville and Fort Yates on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation were the other finalists.
Attendees at the 91st annual North Dakota Water & Pollution Control Conference voted in a blind taste test for the three top finalists. A panel of three judges then picked Lisbon as the winner in the event sponsored by the state chapter of the American Water Works Association.
Numerous cities across the state have won the honor, including Bismarck last year and Lisbon in 2017. Fargo won in 2014 and 2011.
