SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sioux Falls police arrested a 22-year-old man on Tuesday, Nov. 30, in connection with the death of his infant son over the weekend.
According to Sioux Falls police, Dylan Castimore was the only person in an apartment east of the Sioux Falls airport Saturday, Nov. 27, when emergency personnel responded to a distress call and found 8-week-old Daxton Castimore unconscious and not breathing.
Daxton was taken to a hospital where he died with what a coroner later determined to be a skull fracture, broken ribs and a laceration on his liver. The coroner ruled the death a homicide.
Dylan Castimore was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 30, on a warrant for second-degree murder and manslaughter in the first degree, according to a statement from Sioux Falls police. Castimore's cash bond was set at $1 million.
