GRACEVILLE, Minn. — A Minnesota man and a 5-year-old girl from Sisseton, S.D., were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-car crash near Graceville early Sunday, Jan. 8.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident occurred about 1 a.m. Sunday.

The patrol said Maynard Alan Arndt, 68, of Graceville, Minn., was driving west in a 2006 Dodge Ram on Highway 28 when he collided with another westbound vehicle driven by Mary Francis Warhol, 32, of Sisseton.

Warhol had two children in the vehicle with her, a 5-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. Arndt and the 5-year-old girl were taken by ambulance to the Graceville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol did not clarify how the two vehicles collided near 770th Avenue, but said alcohol was involved with Arndt.

Graceville is a small town in southwest Minnesota about a 100 miles southeast of Fargo.
