FARGO — Police are still looking for the man who they say sparked an hours-long standoff in south Fargo. Police and SWAT officers were seen surrounding the home on the 900 block of University Drive South on Tuesday evening, July 21.
The suspect pointed a gun at someone in an armed robbery, according to police. The victim then told officers he saw the suspect run inside the house. After spending a few hours trying to talk to the suspect, officers found out no one was inside.
Police said on Wednesday they cannot give any update yet and won't reveal the name of the suspect.
WDAY News spoke with a woman who lives at the house, telling us her name is Jessica. She said she was upstairs when this started., and that the suspect is a man who was staying at her house for a couple days.
She does not think the armed robbery he is being accused of happened inside her house, and was upset to see police surrounding her home that night. The woman told our reporter on scene that she has been dealing with burglaries throughout the past few days. She does not know where the suspect is or who the victim may be.
