FARGO - The southern stretch for one of Fargo's major north-south thoroughfares will reopen this afternoon.
At 2 p.m., Fargo plans to open 25th Street South, between 58th and 73rd avenues.
The roadway was reconstructed from a two-lane gravel roadway to a three-lane concrete surface with bicycle lanes.
In a news release issued just before noon, the city said "the roadway features three large, single lane roundabouts, decorative street lighting, a shared use path, on-street bicycle lanes and landscaping."
While the road will reopen to motorists, crews will be completing work on the roadway, sidewalks and boulevards through the fall.
Drivers are advised to monitor speed limits and construction signs in the area.
Since sidewalks have not been completed, the city said pedestrian and bicycle traffic are not allowed at this time.
