MOORHEAD — A knife attack here Saturday evening, April 11, landed one man in jail on a second-degree assault charge and left another with minor injuries, police said.
Police and emergency medical services responded to a residence on the 100 block of 14th Street South in Moorhead about 5:40 p.m. after a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a man with lacerations on his head and hand, according to Moorhead police Sgt. Joel Voxland. The injuries were not life-threatening.
The attack happened after a dispute between the two men escalated, Voxland said. The men are reportedly acquaintances and were still on scene when police arrived. The victim was not seriously hurt and was treated on scene, police said.
Raymond Williams, 39, of Moorhead, was arrested in connection to the stabbing and booked in the Clay County Jail. Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
