A nearly 30-year-old cold case in North Dakota is the newest focus of regional true crime investigative podcast Dakota Spotlight .

Kristin Diede and Bob Anderson drove from Minnesota to North Dakota on a weekend in August 1993, then vanished, with a key piece of evidence later turning up in South Dakota. Authorities believe they were murdered, although they haven't located their bodies, or arrested anyone for the crime. So what happened?

In this season of Dakota Spotlight, veteran host James Wolner teams up with a journalist colleague, Jeremy Fugleberg, to go on a live, multi-part investigation that spans multiple states. The duo works with the missing persons' family members and friends to untangle why Diede and Anderson went to North Dakota, what happened on the last day they were seen: Aug. 15, 1993, and why the couple has never been found.
