MOORHEAD — Three people were detained Monday morning, Dec. 3, and later taken into custody in connection with a shooting incident Sunday, Dec. 2, at a Hornbacher's in south Moorhead.
Lt. Mark Empting of the Clay County Sheriff's Office said the three were detained as they were leaving the Taco Bell restaurant on Eighth Street South in Moorhead.
He identified the three, who were later taken into custody, as : Kevin Demetri Blocker, 23, New Brighton, Minn.; Sabrina Anne Marten, 21, and Montonique Rashay Mixon, 21, both of Moorhead.
On Tuesday morning, Dec. 4, Blocker and Marten were being held in the Clay County Jail pending filing of possible charges in connection with the parking lot incident.

Mixon was being held for an outstanding warrant, according to jail records.
Empting said authorities were continuing to investigate how Blocker and Marten may have been involved in the shooting, and he said the sheriff's office, Moorhead Police and the Metro Street Crimes Unit were continuing to investigate the parking lot incident. afternoon.
Empting said the three individuals in custody Monday afternoon were questioned about an incident reported Sunday evening in the parking lot of the Hornbacher's Foods — Azool, 950 40th Ave. S., in Moorhead.
According to police, a group of people were in a vehicle when an adult male approached them and an altercation ensued. A handgun was discharged in the vehicle, and a juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of superficial wounds.
Police have determined that the suspect was known to the victims and it was not a random encounter.
