FARGO — Runners might have to worry about muscle cramps this weekend but potholes might not be a problem. Fargo Public Works is filling dozens of potholes along Eighth Street South in Fargo before marathon weekend.
City workers have spent the last few days filling potholes along Eighth and Ninth Street from Main Avenue to 13th Avenue South and they still have a way to go.
This week is the first time street crews have been able to tackle potholes across the city, especially along the marathon route. Fargo Public Works Supervisor Lee Anderson. says a late spring and poor weather conditions have been to blame.
"Everything is running behind, so this is our first week addressing potholes," he said.
Crews will likely be working to fill potholes until the end of the week.
