MOORHEAD – Two temporary lane closures are now in place here for construction and road repair work.
City officials announced late last week that the southbound lanes of 34th Street South between Fourth Avenue South and 12th Avenue South would be closed beginning Monday, April 16, to repair a section of damaged roadway and underground utilities.
Traffic control signage and a detour using Fourth Avenue South and Southeast Main Avenue will be in place for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completed by Friday, April 27.
Additionally, the eastbound lane of Main Avenue from Ninth Street South to 10th Street South was closed due to construction that began Monday morning. That closure is expected to be in place for about three weeks.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and expect delays and congestion while the work is taking place.
