HILLSBORO, N.D. — Prosecutors have accused a Portland, N.D., man of possessing images of minors engaged in sexual behavior and requesting such images from minors.
Joseph Dale Mangan faces felony counts of use of a minor in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a minor and possession of certain materials prohibited, according to documents filed in Traill County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Traill County authorities executed a search warrant at Mangan’s home and found several electronic devices and five pairs of girls underwear, court papers stated. Authorities also found images of suspected child pornography that had been shared by Mangan, according to court papers.
Mangan allegedly possessed nude images of minors, and requested nude images and videos from underage girls through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Snapchat, court papers stated.
A warrant for Mangan’s arrest was issued Wednesday.
