Update: Fargo runaway found in eastern Wisconsin

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Katie Hamman, a 16-year-old Fargo girl reported as a runaway since Oct. 27, was safely located in Oshkosh, Wis., and is with her family, the Fargo Police Department said Thursday evening, Nov. 7.

FARGO — A 16-year-old Fargo runaway missing since Oct. 27 is now believed to be residing in Oshkosh, Wis., according to the Fargo Police Department.

Police originally believed Katie Hamman was still in the Fargo-Moorhead area, but they have moved search efforts to Oshkosh after locating the white Volkswagen SUV she took from her mother. The Volkswagen is being brought back to Fargo from Wisconsin.

Fargo police ask the public to not report sightings of the vehicle, but to contact local authorities with any information about Hamman's whereabouts.

Police describe Hamman as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 125 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair, but said she might have dyed her hair a darker color. She was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a royal blue hooded sweatshirt and black leggings.

Police say her cellphone either has a dead battery or has been shut off and that all of her personal belongings are still at home, including her jacket.
