UPDATE: Silver Alert canceled, missing 70-year-old resident of assisted living facility found safe

BISMARCK, N.D. — The Silver Alert activated Wednesday evening, Feb. 3, has been canceled.

70-year-old Theodore Heath, who walked away from a Bismarck assisted living facility, has been found safe.

The alert was issued after Heath walked away from the Edgewood Vista Assisted Living Facility, 3406 Dominion St., Bismarck.

It was believed that he was on foot and not dressed for the cold weather.

But Thursday morning the North Dakota Highway Patrol canceled the alert, saying Heath was located north of Bismarck by law enforcement and is safe.
