One week ago today, an unusual cloud seen over the northern Red River Valley. Pictures of the phenomenon were shown on the evening news and an article, "What looks like a tornado is not always a tornado," can still be found on www.inforum.com. Probably because the cloud was initiated by exhaust from a jet plane, the article has drawn considerable interest from people who believe the government is using jet exhaust for nefarious purposes including mind-control, pharmaceutical greed and climate control. It's wild and it's totally science fiction.
These "chem-trail" people get their information from websites that suffer from a complete lack of scientific credibility. The "chem-trail" conspiracy issue is a flaming example of a strange and unfortunate trend prevalent in our society today of people distrusting established institutional knowledge and favoring instead some incredible and ridiculous information found on the internet.
