Although the summer of 2019 finished with several weeks of cool weather, a slightly warmer than average temperature regime during June and July kept the three summer months near the three-decade average.

The average daily mean temperature during June was 0.9 degrees warmer than average. July was 1.3 degrees warmer than average. August was 2.8 degrees cooler than average. This brings the average daily mean temperature for the summer to 0.2 degrees cooler than average. There were only five days that reached 90 degrees, three in June and two in July. The cool August month delivered no 90-degree days.

Summer rainfall, as measured at Hector International Airport, was consistently plentiful except for the early part of June.
