Metro schools, colleges cancel classes for Thursday

FARGO — Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead Public Schools have canceled classes for Thursday, Feb. 7, according to releases.

Because of the projected blizzard conditions, starting at about 6 a.m., the schools said all classes and extracurricular activities are off.

Students shouldn't report to school and staff members shouldn't report to work, said the releases.

The Fargo school system said it will use a storm make-up day that is built into the school calendar. Thus, there will be classes on Friday, May 10. Additionally, due to a previous school cancellation, school will also be is session on Monday, April 22. A determination of any other needed make-up days will be announced at a future date.

Also cancelled are classes and offices at North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, M State C&T College Moorhead and Concordia.
