GRAND FORKS — After needing to rescue drivers, Highway 2 was closed from Grand Forks to Devils Lake Thursday morning, March 14.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department said drivers struggled to keep control of their cars and saw as many as 20 cars in the ditch.

Grand Forks County Sheriff Andy Schneider says when conditions are that bad it's best to stay home.

“You literally cannot see anything. And if you can't see it, the law enforcement officers and the plows can't see it any better than you,” said
