WEST FARGO — A vehicle fire in West Fargo nearly turned into a structure fire after a 911 caller says it was close to spreading to a nearby garage on Thusday, July 11th.

The fire was reported at 12:24 a.m. in the 100 block of 3rd Ave. W., and when crews arrived on scene they found that the vehicle's engine was completely engulfed and the body of the vehicle was also on fire, according to the West Fargo Fire Department.

Fire crews were able to quickly knock down the fire and expose the engine using a spreader hydraulic tool to put out other hot spots, the fire department says.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
