WEST FARGO — Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 22, on Interstate 94 from the Raymond interchange to the Sheyenne interchange to install guardrails, temporary median crossovers and ramp connections.

I-94 will have a lane closure during the project, and flaggers will be present, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

The speed limit will be reduced to 65 mph and lowered to 40 mph where work is being done.

The construction is expected to be finished by mid-October.

Authorities ask that motorists slow down and use caution in the work zone.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
