WEST FARGO — A kitchen fire damaged the first floor of a West Fargo townhome Monday, Jan. 10.
Fire crews were called to the home at 3337 Fourth St. E., Unit 2, in West Fargo around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a residential structure fire.
When crews arrived on scene, an active fire was discovered in the kitchen causing extensive damage to the first floor of the structure.
The homeowner was home at the time and safely evacuated, and they will not be able to stay in the townhome tonight. The fire is believed to have started on the stovetop.
An estimate of damage was not yet available as of 6:45 p.m. Monday.

The Salvation Army assisted the West Fargo Fire Department on scene. No injuries were reported in relation to the fire.
